These paintingsare inner reflection in whichTime interacts, fluctuating and tying the physical spaces to memory, the imagination and my surroundings.As a child, I witnessed a culture deeply immersed in the forces of Nature, ancient rituals and patterned structures. While these inform the imageries in my work, it is my musical training that has contributed to the painting process – connecting through rhythm and tone – the created object, the subjective hand and the texture of energy. It is through the experience of painting that I acquire a sense of wholeness, a primal and holistic understanding of what it means to be a part of a universal force. As I paint, my interest fluctuates between the physical and metaphoric qualities of light to address feelings regarding nature, culture and belief, and reaffirms my belief in the potential of all living things to evolve, adapt and structurally change
